4-Star RB A.J. Turman commits to Georgia

A.J. Turman4-star running back A.J. Turman of Orlando, Florida has verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. UGA now has 27 commitments for the 2013 class.

Turman announced his decision this evening at Tommy Addison’s restaurant in Orlando. He committed to the Bulldogs over Auburn, Florida State, Miami (FL), and Tennessee.

“I want to thank the coaches that recruited me. I have found a school that I feel would develop me as a student and athlete and that school is Georgia,” Turman said.

Turman (6-0, 205) plays for Boone High School in Orlando. He is the first running back commitment and the fifth commitment from the State of Florida for UGA.

Rivals.com rates Turman 4-stars and the no. 18 running back in the country. Scout.com rates him 3-stars and the no. 36 running back.

Georgia would have had 28 commitments for 2013, but JUCO DB Steven Nelson decommitted from the Bulldogs earlier today.
