Georgia, Seton Hall Schedule Home-and-Home Basketball Series

Mark Fox-Kenny Gaines

The Georgia Bulldogs and the Seton Hall Pirates have scheduled a home-and-home basketball series, the AJC has reported.

Georgia will host the first game of the series at Stegeman Coliseum on Dec. 21, 2014. The Bulldogs will then visit the Pirates at Prudential Center in South Orange, NJ during the 2015-16 season.

The 2014 game will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. Seton Hall, 17-16 this season, is a member of the Big East Conference.

The addition of Seton Hall gives Georgia eight known non-conference games on their 2014-15 schedule. Four of those games will come in the 2014 NIT Season Tip-Off. UGA is one of four host schools for the tournament, along with Gonzaga, Minnesota, and St. John’s.

Twelve “visiting teams” will compete in the NIT Season Tip-Off, and the only one currently known is Western Kentucky.

Colorado is also set to visit Athens in 2014-15, and the Bulldogs have road trips scheduled at Georgia Tech and UT Chattanooga. Georgia should also get a game in the 2014 Big 12/SEC Challenge since they did not have one in 2013.
