Conley, Green highlight annual UGA Spring awards

University of Georgia senior wide receiver Chris Conley of Dallas, Ga., and sophomore defensive back J.J. Green of Kingsland have been named recipients of the Coffee County Hustle Award highlighting and annual spring football award winners.

The awards are given annually at the conclusion of spring practice to recognize improvement, dedication and performance on the field.

The Coffee County Award is given annually to players showing the most desire during spring drills.

The list of 2014 awards is as follows:

True Grit Award – Xzavier Ward, OL, Moultrie, Ga.

OFFENSE:
MVP – David Andrews, C, John’s Creek, Ga.
Coffee County Hustle Award – Chris Conley, WR, Dallas, Ga.
Most Improved Player – Greg Pyke, OG, Baltimore, Md.

Hugh Hendrix Memorial Award (player who most strains his potential) –

Hutson Mason, QB, Marietta, Ga.
Outstanding Walk-On – Kenneth Towns, WR, Albany, Ga.

DEFENSE:
MVP – Ramik Wilson, ILB, Tampa, Fla.
Coffee County Hustle Award – J.J. Green, DB, Kingsland, Ga.
Most Improved Player – James DeLoach, OLB, Millen, Ga.

Hugh Hendrix Memorial Award (player who most strains his potential) –

Leonard Floyd, OLB, Eastman, Ga.
Outstanding Walk-On – Aaron Davis, DB, Locust Grove, Ga.
