ATHENS, Ga. – The Georgia football team continued preseason camp on Monday with a 90-minute workout in jerseys, shorts, shoulder pads and helmets.

Monday’s session marked the fourth of nine straight days of practice for the Bulldogs. The first session in full pads will be Tuesday and Georgia will hold its first two-a-day workout on Wednesday.

“The guys did a very good job today,” Georgia coach Mark Richt said. “I saw guys pushing hard and fighting hard. I also saw plenty of energy and guys being good teammates by lifting each other up. It was an outstanding day.”

Georgia, ranked No. 12 in the Amway Coaches Poll, will open the season in Athens against No. 16 Clemson on Aug. 30 at 5:30 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPN.
