The Georgia Bulldogs received their 1st verbal commitment of National Signing Day from four-star offensive lineman Patrick Allen of Reisterstown, MD (Franklin).

Allen originally committed to the Bulldogs in August, but then de-committed in January after offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and offensive line coach Will Friend left for Colorado State.

Wide receivers coach Tony Ball continued to recruit Allen, and new offensive line coach Rob Sale joined in after his hiring.

Allen (6-5, 285) committed to the Bulldogs over his top four schools Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Other top schools to offer Allen include Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami (FL), Nebraska, Penn State, USC, and Wisconsin.

In the 247Sports Composite, Patrick Allen is listed as a four-star recruit, the No. 18 offensive tackle, and No. 213 overall in the country.

Rivals.com rates Allen four-stars, the No. 13 offensive tackle, and No. 193 in the Rivals100 2015.
