The recruiting momentum for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs continues to roll on.

On New Year’s Day, the Bulldogs picked up commitment from four-star athlete Tray Bishop and four-star safety Deangelo Gibbs.

Now the Dawgs have received their third commitment in two days. Three-star inside linebacker Monty Rice has flipped his commitment from LSU to UGA.

Rice (6-1, 227) plays for James Clemens High School in Madison, Alabama. He committed to the Dawgs over offers from LSU, Auburn, Florida State, California, Cincinnati, Louisville, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, and others.

In the 247Sports Composite, Monty Rice is listed as a three-star recruit, the No. 21 inside linebacker, and the No. 613 overall recruit for 2017.

Georgia now has 23 commitments for the 2017 class, and Rice is the fourth linebacker. He joins ILB Nate McBride and OLB’s Walter Grant and Jaden Hunter.
