Anthony Edwards will enter the 2020 NBA Draft after just one season with the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens.

Edwards leaving Athens comes as no surprise, as he is regarded as a possible number one pick in the upcoming draft. The 2020 NBA Draft is currently scheduled for June 25, 2020 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

“I just want to declare for the 2020 NBA Draft,” Edwards told 247Sports. “I think I should go number one, no doubt. That’s the only place I think I should go.”

Edwards has already signed with an agent. Octagon Basketball, which reps players such as Stephen Curry, Luol Deng, and Seth Curry, tweeted that Anthony Edwards had joined the team earlier on Friday.

A native of Atlanta, Ga., (Holy Spirit Prep School), Anthony Edwards signed with the Georgia Bulldogs in April of 2019. As a freshman, Edwards played in all 32 games and averaged 33 minutes per game.

Edwards was 203-of-505 from the field (.402) and 72-of-245 from three-point range (.294). He scored a total of 610 points, averaging 19.1 points per game. Edwards also amassed 167 rebounds, 91 assists, 18 blocks, and 43 steals.
