Georgia, Cincinnati schedule home-and-home basketball series
The Georgia Bulldogs and the Cincinnati Bearcats have scheduled a home-and-home basketball series for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, according to Chad Brendel of Bearcat Journal.
Georgia will host the first game of the series at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga., on Dec. 19, 2020. The Bulldogs will travel to take on the Bearcats the following season at Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio, on a date to be determined.
Georgia and Cincinnati have played just once previously. The two schools met in the Big East/SEC Challenge in Athens on Dec. 2, 2012 with the Bearcats coming out on top 57-51.
Cincinnati is the fourth known non-conference opponent for Georgia’s 2020-21 basketball schedule. The Bulldogs are also scheduled to host Memphis on Jan. 2 and will travel to play Georgia Tech on Nov. 19 and SMU on Nov. 24.
The 2020-21 season will be the third for Georgia under head coach Tom Crean. Crean’s Bulldogs have an overall record of 27-37 (.422) and SEC record of 7-29 (.194).
