G-Day 2021 set for Saturday, April 17

G-Day 2021 has been set for Saturday, April 17, according to  a report by UGASports.com. G-Day is Georgia’s annual Red vs. Black Spring game.

With G-Day on April 17 this year, the annual game will fall two weekends after Easter (Sunday, April 4, 2021) and one week after the Masters golf tournament (April 8-11, 2021). Kickoff for the G-Day game will be announced later and it will likely be televised by an ESPN network or the SEC Network.

According to the report by UGASports.com, the Bulldogs will begin Spring practice on Tuesday, March 16. Georgia will practice a total of 15 times, which includes the G-Day game.

The Georgia Bulldogs finished the 2020 season 8-2 overall and 7-2 in the SEC. Georgia defeated the Cincinnati Bearcats 24-21 in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga., which was their only non-conference game of the season.

Georgia is scheduled to open the 2021 season on Saturday, Sept. 4 in the Duke’s Mayo Kickoff against the Clemson Tigers at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. Georgia’s first game at Sanford Stadium is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11 against the UAB Blazers.
