2022 Georgia Bulldogs football schedule announced
The 2022 Georgia Bulldogs Football Schedule has been officially announced.
UGA is scheduled to open the 2022 season against the Oregon Ducks on Saturday, Sept. 3 in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff. The game will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.
The following week on Sept. 10, the Bulldogs open their home schedule against the Samford Bulldogs at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. SEC play begins one week later with the Bulldogs traveling to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks on Sept. 17.
Georgia then steps back out of conference action to host the Kent State Golden Flashes on Sept. 24 before returning to SEC action on Oct. 1 with a road trip to play the Missouri Tigers.
The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry resumes on Oct. 8 with the Bulldogs hosting the Auburn Tigers in Athens. Georgia then hosts the Vanderbilt Commodores in Athens on Oct. 15, which is followed by their only open week of the season on Oct. 22.
The Bulldogs will be the home team in 2022 against the Florida Gators at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Fla. That game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 29.
Following the trip to Jacksonville, Georgia returns home to host the Tennessee Volunteers on Nov. 5. The Bulldogs then close out SEC play with back-to-back games on the road against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Nov. 12 and the Kentucky Wildcats on Nov. 19.
Georgia closes out the 2022 regular-season at home at Sanford Stadium against the in-state rival Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Nov. 26. It will mark the first Clean, Old Fashioned Hate game played in Athens since the 2018 season. The 2020 contest in Athens was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2022 SEC Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.
