Georgia announces 2022 baseball schedule

The Georgia Bulldogs have announced their 2022 baseball schedule, which features games against Clemson, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

Georgia opens the 2022 baseball season at home at Foley Field in Athens, Ga., with a three-game series against the UAlbany Great Danes (Feb. 18-20). Other non-conference opponents on the 2022 slate include Clemson, Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Akron, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Presbyterian, USC-Upstate, and Wofford.

The Diamond Dawgs open SEC play at home against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on March 18. Other SEC opponents visiting Foley Field in 2022 include Florida (April 1-3), Texas A&M (April 14-16), Vanderbilt (May 6-8), and Missouri (May 19-21).

Georgia will travel to take on SEC foes Kentucky (March 25-27), South Carolina (April 8-10), Alabama (April 22-24), LSU (April 29-May 1), and Tennessee (May 13-15).

Georgia’s annual series with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will be played on three consecutive days starting Friday, March 4 at Russ Chandler Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. The Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets will then play at Foley Field in Athens on Saturday, March 5 before the series concludes at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, Ga., on Sunday, March 6.

The 2022 SEC Baseball Tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24 through Sunday, May 29 in Hoover, Ala.
