Brock Bowers named 2021 Mackey Award semifinalist

UGA football true freshman Brock Bowers has been named a 2021 John Mackey Award semifinalist, The Friends of John Mackey have announced.

The winner of the 2021 John Mackey Award will be presented at The Home Depot College Football Awards Show on Thursday, Dec. 9.

Bowers, a native of Napa, Calif., has started in seven games and played in all eight contests for the Bulldogs this season. He has collected 26 receptions for 454 yards and six touchdowns. Bowers also has one rush for 12 yards.

Top-ranked Georgia (8-0) is next scheduled to host the Missouri Tigers at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., on Saturday, Nov. 6. The game is set for noon ET and it will be televised by ESPN.
