Nemanja DjurisicPower forward Nemanja Djurisic has signed his Letter of Intent to attend UGA and play for Mark Fox and the Georgia Bulldogs. Djurisic committed to UGA back in March.

From GeorgiaDogs.com:

Though Djurisic originally hails from Podgorica, Montenegro, he played the 2010-11 season at the South Kent School in South Kent, Conn.  In his lone season there, the 6-8, 230-pound forward averaged 20.1 points and 10.3 rebounds per game for the Cardinal, which went 18-14.  South Kent’s prep basketball program has recently produced Isaiah Thomas of Washington and Andray Blatche of the NBA’s Washington Wizards.

“We’re very excited to have added ‘Nemi’ to the program for next year,” Fox said.  “He’s a terrific shooter with good size and a great feel for the game.”

Djurisic also has extensive experience playing internationally for four straight Montenegrin national teams at the 2007-10 Under 18 European Championships.

Djurisic (6-8, 235) committed to the Hoop Dawgs over offers from Arizona State, East Carolina, Kansas State, NC State, Oklahoma State and Utah. Rivals.com ranks Djurisic as a 3-star recruit.

Djurisic joins Fall 2010-11 signees Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Tim Dixon and John Florveus on next season’s roster. The early signing period ends on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
